  • Avdimou Beach: Anchorage with Sandy Beach with good winds for Kite-Surfing
  • Pissouri Bay: Anchorage with Sandy Beach and a Scenic place to spent the night
  • Akrotiri Bay: Anchorage at Ladies Mile Sandy Beach with good winds for Wind-Surfing, and few very good restaurants
  • New Limassol Marina: Mooring with very good amenities, good Transportation and very easy access to Limassol down-town
  • Limassol Coast Line: Anchorage at some places along the coast line is restricted, but good sandy beaches with cafes.
  • St.Raphael Beach: Anchorage with Sandy Beach with few very good Cafes - Beach Bars and provides good winds for Kite-Surfing
  • St.Raphael Marina: Mooring with good amenities

Larnaca Destinations

  • Governors Beach: Anchorage with Sandy Beaches and light breezes
  • Zygi Marina: Mooring with limited amenities, but good Fish Tavernas
  • Larnaca Coast Line: Anchorage at some places along the coast line is restricted, but good sandy beaches with cafes and Beach Bars in Makenzy area.
  • Larnaca Marina: Mooring with good Transportation access to down-town, only 10m walk
  • Dhekelia Bay: Anchorage is allowed only in front of the Hotels, with good Sandy Beaches

Famagusta Destinations

  • Ay.Napa Bay: Anchorages with Golden Sandy beaches with well known night life
  • Ay. Anargyri: Anchorage with picturesque scenery of Protaras Bay
  • Konnos Bay: Anchorage with picturesque scenery, white sand beach
  • FigTree Bay: Anchorage with picturesque scenery, white sand beach
  • Sunrise Beach: Anchorage with picturesque scenery, white sand beach, popular destination

Marinas in Cyprus

Currently there are only 5 marinas in Cyprus:
Larnaca Marina, The New Limassol Marina in Limassol, followed by St. Raphael Marina in Limassol, and Zygi Marina, with the smallest being Latchi Marina in the Akamas Bay.

Sea temperature

The temperature in the open sea hovers above 22°C from June to November, climbing to 28°C in August. During the three coolest months of January to March, average sea temperature is still an acceptable 16° or 17°C. There are no significant daily fluctuations in sea water temperatures, except in very shallow waters less than one meter deep.

Wind and sea state

In broad lines Cyprus’s wind is characterized by two seasons : Steady South-West sea breeze in the summer averaging 16knots 5 to 6 days per week, and wind variable in strength, frequency and direction during the winter. During the Peak season of August (12th - 18th ) an Easterly strong with wave heights up to a meter are most likely to occur. Sea state ranges from flat with the occasional little waves in the summer to small chop and double head high waves in the winter.
